SigenStorPanel

A 10.1″ wall panel for a SigenStor solar and battery installation.

Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop. Flashing is over WebSerial. Safari, Firefox and every browser on iPhone or iPad can't do it.
On a Mac, install the USB driver first. The panel's USB port goes through a WCH CH340 serial chip. Download CH34xVCPDriver.dmg from WCH's ch34xser_macos repository on GitHub, drag CH34xVCPDriver into Applications, open it and click Install. Then allow it in System Settings, General, Login Items & Extensions, Driver Extensions. Windows and Linux normally have the driver already.

Install

CrowPanel Advanced 10.1″ ESP32-P4

Elecrow's 1024×600 IPS touchscreen. Plug its UART USB-C port into this computer, switch it on, then press Install and choose its serial port. Early release, for testing.

Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a desktop. WebSerial does not exist in Safari or Firefox. Serial access was blocked; this page must be served over HTTPS.

Flashing takes a few minutes. If the installer cannot connect, hold the panel's BOOT button, press and release RST, let go of BOOT, and try again.

After flashing

  1. The panel lists the WiFi networks it can see. Tap yours and type its password on the screen.
  2. Swipe up to open Settings, then Data, and choose where readings come from: straight from the plant over Modbus (the default), Home Assistant, or a SigenStorDisplay Server. Everything is entered on the panel itself.
  3. It starts showing live data. A line across the top of the screen says if anything still needs setting up; tap it to go straight there.
Only needed once. This installer is for the first flash and for recovery. Afterwards the panel can update itself from its Device settings, so you should not need to come back here.
